Liberia & Kenya

In partnership with Syracuse University, ONE World Education and the Government of Liberia, Imcon joined a national digital-inclusion blueprint aimed at lifting internet penetration from about 7% toward 40%. The public plan called for thousands of Educational Internet Backpacks, edgeware, and project-based learning through One Planet Education Network, with schools, hospitals, and rural communities in scope. Classroom deployments were later reported as operational. Related field work has also been described in Kenya and in volcanic monitoring near Mount Nyiragongo, DRC.

Costa Rica Hub & Island Firsts

On Isla Caballo in the Gulf of Nicoya—a community described as having no running water or grid electricity—the team stood up first-time school and community internet with Viva Idea, MarViva, and Fundación Zamora Terán. Additional Costa Rica work includes Fundación Monge and ProParques, beginning with Corcovado National Park rangers and a path toward broader park coverage.
