Dr. Dale W. Meyerrose

Chairman and President

Major General (U.S. Air Force Retired) – Dr. Meyerrose, an U.S. Air Force veteran of 30 years, has in that time produced an enviable record of accomplishment. Known for crisis leadership, Dr. Meyerrose had major leadership roles against the early cyber-attacks on government networks, creation of the early cybersecurity response centers, and reorganizing new homeland defense architectures for the Nation in the wake of the attacks of September 11th, 2001.

Dr. Meyerrose graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and from the University of Utah a Master in Business Administration. He earned a Doctor of Professional Studies in Information Management from Syracuse University, where his award-winning research focused on introducing new technologies over wireless networks used in the healthcare industry. He graduated from the National War College and Dr. Meyerrose has been inducted into four Halls of Fame and honored with nine lifetime achievement awards by various professional associations.

J. Rob Loud

Board Member

Rob Loud is business strategist and investor who mentors and partners with CEOs, executives and solopreneurs to grow their businesses.

A calculated risk taker with tech industry knowledge, he has built a reputation for developing business strategies and incubating new business models. Rob attended the University of Tennessee for Computer Science and Marketing.

While attending the University of Tennessee, he became one of the youngest Hertz RAC managers. Rob went on to work as a Technology Specialist at Turner Broadcasting, Inc.

A calculated risk taker with tech industry knowledge Rob ran the Systems & WAN Management Department for a large multi-family developer.

Here he designed, built, and managed multiple consumer networks. Embracing the core values of integrity, innovation, and growth, Rob became an entrepreneur, who has developed and built companies in the technology sector as well as partnered in an Institutional Investment Company.

Dr. Lee McKnight

Board Member

Lee W. McKnight is an Associate Professor in the iSchool (The School of Information Studies), Syracuse University, an Affiliate of Syracuse University’s Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism (INSTC), and lectures annually at MIT since 1998.

Lee is inventor of edgeware, a new class of software for creating secure ad hoc overlay cloud to edge applications.

Lee’s research focuses on cloud management of dynamic edge services, virtual markets and wireless grids, the global information economy, national and international technology policy, and Internet governance.

He was an Associate Professor of International Information and Communication and Director of the Edward R. Murrow Center at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University; Principal Research Associate, Lecturer, and Visiting Scholar at MIT; and Founder of the Internet Telephony Consortium, also at MIT. Lee served on the Enterprise Cloud Leadership Council of TM Forum; and as a member of IEEE P2030.4 smart grid interoperability task force. Lee was a member of the Board of Directors of Wireless Grids Corp, 2004-2014. Lee was a Founding Member of the Board of Directors of Summerhill Biomass Systems 2007-2013.

Gregory S. Garson

Chief operations officer

Greg spent 27 years in the securities business as an Investment Banker, Advisor, and Securities Broker. Over that time period , he has been involved with every aspect of raising capital, advising issuers and clients, both public and private, primarily in start-ups and small to medium sized companies.

He has participated and contributed to IPO’s, private placements, secondaries, start-up capital, and debt transactions totaling over $1B. He was most recently with Dawson James Securities as a Vice President of Investments and specialized in the healthcare and technology sectors.

Greg helped a company grow from 3 employees to over 500, and from zero revenue to $20mm in less than 3 years.

Since 2015, Gregory S. Garson is Vice President of Business Development of Loma Management Partners. Loma is a Family office and Consulting firm located in Atlanta, Ga that specializes in Start ups, early stage growth, and small to medium size companies.

From January of 2016 to June of 2017, he was Vice President of Business and Corporate Development for LifeSource Health, Inc., a healthcare data delivery company.

He is a founding member of Hatua International, an app that helps feed the children of developing countries. He is a graduate of Oglethorpe University with degrees in Business Administration and Economics.

Dan Horn

Chief technology officer

Dan Horn is an innovative, practical, and responsible executive technology professional. Utilizing a strong capacity to lead proficiently under pressure and has guided numerous national and international organizations to high levels of success over the years.

Mr. Horn possesses an extensive background in technology team building, technology management, operational reorganization, and system architectures.

At CNN Dan was instrumental in prototyping a new media and news alert systems and out paging architectures as well as developing one of the first intranet environments for Turner Broadcasting. This system was used to establish a unique internal communications environment; and leading the development of the Turner property’s online presence including CNN.com, TBS.com, and TNT.com

While at Nextel he created the initial strategic development work on the D1000 data phone and developed the strategic approach to Nextel’s I/P based product line.

During his time at iXL he designed and deployed a full function international hosting and network backbone architecture and led the technology integration and development efforts for the Atlanta offices of iXL and MarchFIRST.

Dr. Álvaro A. Salas-Castro

Dr Salas-Castro is the Founder of The Democracy Lab. The Foundation is dedicated to to helping citizens achieve civic engagement with the Governments in Central America. His research focuses on the role of information communication technologies through Public and Private Partnerships in Costa Rica and Latin America.

Mr. Geekee currently the CTO of Highmark Global Tech that is Using blockchain technology, as well as AI data-driven insights, our platform aims to solve embedded systemic legacy issues that affect everyone in the Medtech industry.

He is former CTO at Juniper Networks & CISCO. Author and holder of multiple patents. Respected industry leader in blockchain, artificial intelligence, analytics, and crypto.

Ben Wolo

Managing Director, Liberia Telecommunications Corporation

Ben Wolo served as the Managing Director, and a board member of Liberia Telecommunications Corporation. He also served as Director of engineering and operation at Qwest. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology.

Darren Orzechowski

Senior Director, Marketing for Managed Products at Red Hat

Darren Orzechowski is Senior Director, Marketing for Managed Products at Red Hat, where he leads marketing for Red Hat’s cloud management portfolio, including Ansible, CloudForms, Insights and Satellite.

Prior to Red Hat, he was Senior Director of Product and Technical Marketing for VMware’s vRealize Cloud Management Suite. In this role, he was responsible for managing the global go-to-market for VMware’s Intelligent Operations solution. Darren’s experience in the cloud management market spans both startups and large companies, including roles in product marketing/management, marketing communications and demand generation.

Before VMware he was Vice President of Marketing for Smarts and Voyence, helping to position each for successful acquisition by EMC. Prior to EMC, he held leadership roles at Cabletron, and led marketing for the successful spinoff and launch of Aprisma.

Darren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, and an MBA from Plymouth State University.

Graham Nash

Musician and philanthropist

Graham Nash, one of the most successful and acclaimed musicians of his generation, is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee – with Crosby, Stills, and Nash and with the Hollies. He was also inducted twice into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, as a solo artist and with CSN, and he is a GRAMMY Award winner.

For nearly half a century, Nash’s passionate voice has rung out in support of peace and social and environmental justice. In 1979, he was one of the organizers of The No Nukes/Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) benefit concerts. In 2011, Nash was instrumental in bringing MUSE back to the forefront with a concert to benefit Japan disaster relief and groups promoting non-nuclear energy worldwide. In 2010, Nash was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth.

Dr. James Sirleaf

Medical Doctor, Midtown Medical Center

Born in Liberia, Dr. James Sirleaf is the son of the former Liberian President, Dr. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. James completed his undergraduate work at Morehouse College and trained in emergency medicine at New York’s Metropolitan Hospital, Meharry Medical College and Atlanta University. Sirleaf is currently the Medical Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Midtown Medical Center. He resides with his wife Rosa and two sons in Columbus, Georgia.
